We will notify you when it will be safe for you to come back into the practice again and we are working normally.
We are unable to do routine eye examinations because of the coronavirus. We are here to talk to you at any time if you have any concerns about your eyes. You can email us to tell us how you are doing. We are still here for any urgent or essential eye care. Please ring or email us if you have any concerns.
Good eyesight is based on healthy eyes and we all rely on good eyesight to maintain our busy lifestyles. Using the computer, driving, watching television, just navigating to the shops is all just part of our everyday lives and all depend on good efficient use of our eyes. It is important that we look after our eyes by having a regular eye examination.
You can keep wearing your contact lenses. Do not touch your contact lenses with unwashed hands. Spectacles do not give you more protection against COVID-19 than contact lenses. Do not touch your face with unwashed hands. If you are sick, you should consider not wearing your contact lenses.
We will do our very best to find a contact lens which suits you and your lifestyle. We will support you and work with you to ensure that you maintain good comfortable wear, with clear vision and healthy eyes.
We are working hard to keep Brignall Opticians a safe environment for our patients and staff. When we are able to return for routine work. Digital Imaging will be a central part of the new environment we will be creating.
At Brignall Opticians we are investing in the latest technology. Ocular Coherence Tomography – is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages. Similar to ultrasound, OCT uses light rather than sound waves to illustrate the different layers that make up the back of your eye. We also capture a digital photograph of the surface of your eye to cross-reference areas of concern and monitor them over time.
Children are always welcome at Brignall Opticians; we know that good eyesight is crucial to their school and social development. Many eye conditions will not be apparent to children or their parents so it is very important that they have their eyes examined when they are between four and five years or sooner if the parent has concerns.
A very warm welcome to our website. We hope the information you seek is here but please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help further on 01249 653292.
